Alaia Season is Here

This a 8'0''er inspired by Richard Kinvin. He got me to make the boards wider. This one is 18 3/4'' wide. This board can paddle really good for an alaia, and in this cold water gives me a little better float.

Fun Projects

This is a tongue drum. Glue it up, Cut some "tongues", and play. I played one at a cool shop, and tried making one.

What are you going to be doing this September???? Well, we are going to be in York, Maine at the Grain Surfboards factory! Jon is giving an Alaia making class/demonstration...I'm tagging along for the surf and to give inspiration!

Some New Boards

This is a 8'6'' Green Flash. A lightweight manueverable board that rides all surf.

6'10'' Quadradamus Super good paddeler with Quad speed.


Two versions of a Wegg. If you are not into twins and Quads this board is for you. Paddles as good as a fish but has the control of a single fin or thruster due to the back fin.

Evening Session

I am riding the 8'10 Single Speed and Adam is on a 6'6'' Bluegill. Man this video was hard to upload, but I got it up. This is from a coloful evening back in December.

9'0'' Single Fin

This board is for Noll. He had a Clark foam in his garage. It has been a couple of years now, since Clark has closed. The blank was yellowed and had some dents and holes in it, but it shaped out clean, Noll wanted extra glass for sturdiness. and a glass on fin (see a couple of posts back. The wood fin with black outline).
