Back from Washington

I have been in Washington, Puget Sound, the last couple of days visiting family. The beauty there is amazing, The water, mountains in the background, green hillsides etc. It is kind of a second home, I have been there most summers since I was a kid. I did not go to the coast and really did not leave the Funky island of Vashon.

Bluegills in Morocco

Mark in Morocco sent me these pics. The empty lineup is due to Moroccans preferring to surf a little later in the day. These shots are from a morning session. Mark obtained his Bluegill when traveling surfers from Michigan, The Third Coast Surfshop crew, passed through his area. Mark is part of a surfshop and surf community there. One of the travelers left his board with him. It sounds like he rides the board a lot. It is world in the surfing community.

These fins are for a 5'10' fish. Having a ban saw is really nice. Much smother than a jig saw, less chipping.

Tugger's Bluegill

6'10'' recycled foam blank, wood veneer, eco bio resin. The bottom is pigmented blue, so with the bio resin blueish green. we were going for a navy vessel look. The deck has some book matched pieces with some Sequoia for extra pizazz.

SUP finally finished

Once the wood was on and finished touch up shaping, I sent the board to Central Coast Fiber glassing in San Luis Obisbo for glassing. There, Aaron and team did some air brushing laminating, pin lining and put on a foam pad. Now it is on it way to San Francisco for paddling in the bay.
