Scrappy fin making.

This evening, Mike and I glued up some off-cuts from the veneer boards. When I put fins on boards, I like to experiment with templates, sizes etc. Fiberglass fins can get expensive, especially if you want to try a bunch of templates. Now I need to figure a way to attach these wooden fins without glassing them in.

The Pizzaz is in the Rail

I left the last 7'6'' in Maine. We really liked that board, so I made a new one. This is recycled foam, wood veneer, and super sap resin. This construction creates a lot of inertia and spring. It is loose and has the drive of a longer board.

Paipos

3'6'' to 4'6.'' I class these as paipo boards. To kids, the larger two are stand up boards. At a demo day last weekend the kids were shredding on them.

The LALA Heard Around the World
