Finless Surfing from the Noosa Surf Festival

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfPBz5ICtd0

This is from this year, a couple of days ago. Tom is riding one of his Seaglass boards, a Albecore, soft version. Harrison Roach is riding a 5'10'' Peanut alaia I made him, and other sliders are riding various alaias and finless foamies. The Noosa Festival has a finless division, and it looks like a lot of fun.

5'10" Wood Fish

5'10'' wood veneer top and bottom fish. The rails are wood and cork strips. Custom fins. The board and fins are glassed with the clear Entropy resin. This board went to kyle. Now we just need some waves.

Speed Squat

Browsing my archives I ran into some pics from 2008, the last time Tom was here. We got some epic waves this day. Tom is riding a 9'6'' toothpick and I a 7'2'' Anchovy Alaia.

Test Pilots

Naoto Suzuki and friend Kay visited the other Day. They are visiting from Japan. Naoto has a surf shop "Real Surf" there. While here he picked up a custom Bio Mini. This is a 5'3'' epoxy stringerless blank glassed with clear Super Sap. We went for a surf and Kay got pictures of us doing similar turns. I am on a 7'0'' Quadradamus.

The Modern Alaia

I just finished this board today. It has been in my head for a long time. I can't wait to get it in the water. It has a slight lift in the nose for critical drops. I added cork to the deck with the assumption it will add to float, which should help with paddling.
