Bluegill Action

Skateboard power slides,
Switchfoot adventures,
Looking good,
and Parallel stance speed squats can all be done on a very average day of surf when riding a Bluegill. This board is a 7'9'' version. I would like to thank Ryo Matsuyama for taking and sending these pictures. He and his brother Kei were here recently and we had this fun day of surf.

6'6" single or two plus one

This one is for Ryan, Of Third Coast Surf Shop, in Michigan. He surfs the lakes and travels a fair bit. The board is not too big or too small for most conditions or wave height.

Wood Working Week

Lately, I have been cutting, planing, sanding, and coating wood. The handplanesare popular at the moment. These have a fresh coat of Super Sap on them. The alaias are heading to Patagonia Cardiff, and the paipo is for continuing research and development.

Modern Single Fin

I finally finished the modernization remake of the old Lightning Bolt board. The rails are substantially more honed. The bottom has a light single to double concave. I did not change the rocker much, very mild. The board is glassed with super sap and clear formula bio resin. It came out pretty light. I should weigh it. With these changes, the board will be quite responsive and fast, which will add to the smooth, full turning a single fin does.
