Paipo Class At Grain In September

     Please check out the link to Grain Surfboards.  I will be going to Maine to teach a class September 8th and 9th.  We will be making paipos.  Last year we did a alaia class. It was a really good time.  Most of us camped at the Grain farm.  We surfed in the morning, worked on the boards during the day, surfed in the evening, then had a couple of beers with dinner. Everyone in the class made a really nice board, and said they had a really good time, highlight of their summer.
      I have been riding paipos a lot.  The boards are really fun to ride, and make the most out of every session.  Definitely a board everyone should have in you quiver.

Body surfing Handplanes at Patagonia

Just delivered some some Wegener/Surcraft Cooperative handplanes to Patagonia in Cardiff.  Take note of new handplane bag also at the store.

Bluegill in Cardiff.

6'6'' Bluegill.  The perfect mix of alaia speed and slide and foam board wave catching ability.  This one is now at Patagonia in Cardiff.

Board Benefit.

The collaboration board between Nathan Gibbs and I has been oiled.  It really looks amazing.  This board is for the board art benefit for Surf Aid.  I shaped the alaia out of  California Sequoia wood, and Nathan did two incredible California themed paintings.  Please see link to learn more.

Working at the Beach

This evening while Rosa was surfing, I brought a couple of handplanes to the beach an did some finishing touches.  In the morning I will put in the straps then deliver them to the Patagonia in Cardiff.
