Paipos

I've been getting really good waves on the paipos lately.    I find at high tide, paipos find the best waves close to the shore.  I must have been the only person in North County to come out of some tubes today.

Mike's New Long Board

Mike is not a full time longboarder, but he knows certain days a longboard is best due to the waves, crowd, or mood.  He wanted a maneuverable board that could really trim nicely and still nosride.  He also wanted it to have speed.  So, we pulled in the nose for speed and maneuverability.  The board is 9'6.''  This length makes a good paddler and collects speed for great trimming.  Their is a down rail in the tail, again for speed and maneuverability.  The rail is mild eggy in the middle for smooth trimming.  Narrow noses actually noseride well, especially if you are going fast and in the pocket.  On this board we have the option to ride as a single fin or as a two plus one.
