On Sunday the 16th at 7:30am Whomp handplanes is hosting a get together at Beacons Beach.  Come try out handplanes, alaias, paipos, and  other different surf craft.

Sequoia Slab Table

Here are some  before and after pictures of chunks of wood I worked on over Thanksgiving.  We need a table for the back yard that can seat a couple of friends.  It will be 9' by 40''.

New Blue

6'4'' Blue gill.  Polyester foam glassed with Entropy super sap bio resin.    It is freshly hot coated here.

Paipoing a High Tide Corner.

Another fun session with an assist to the paipo.  This corner only works on a high tide small groundswell.  Everyone else is waiting at the coffee shop for the tide to drop.

This one is for Jason.  Slight concave in nose, a light double concave out the tail.

Modern Kookbox

I've been riding this 9'8.''  Surfboard, paddleboard.  Flies across the face of waves like an alaia, but can catch anything.

It has Bluegill fins.  This holds trim in the whitewash, but does not effect your speed.

Seaside Reef Demo

Come to Seaside Reef tomorrow, Saturday, for the Green Beach Fair.  Demo alaias, Paipos, Handplanes, and Surfboards.

I've been getting really good waves on the paipos lately.    I find at high tide, paipos find the best waves close to the shore.  I must have been the only person in North County to come out of some tubes today.

In the works.

Here are some boards I am working on this week.  A 6'6'' Bluegill, 5'8'' and 5'10' fish,  6'0'' Twin fin,  These will have swallow tails cut in.  Th7'6'' round pin is going to Patagonia and is getting wood veneer on the deck.

I found a old piece of plywood in a old woodworkers garage.  I am happy with the nice wood grain.  I will show again once finished.
