Check this link out.  On May 5th their will be a gathering of handplane makers and enthusiastic bodysurfers in San Clemente.  I will be there with a few handplanes/  I think I'll put a couple paipos and alaias in the car also.  So, come and try my stuff and other makers also.

Pictures From Nicaragua

Some friends just returned from a surf trip to Nicaragua and sent me some pictures.  This is Mike Beckwith setting up for a bowl
after laying down a bottom turn on a 6' Bluegill.
Ryan from Third Coast Surf Shop dropping in on his 6'6'' 2 plus 1, from a couple of posts ago.    It is nice to see a fading drop in.  You can't really do that on a board that does not have a dominant middle fin, especially at this shorter size.
Ryan again, using one of my handplanes.

Freckles the Alaia Kiteboard

Alex's brother, Dave has been kiteboarding a 6'2'' Peanut in Hawaii and says it is working really good.  The alaia has unmatched speed and can go over reefs.  He uses no straps or fins of any kind.  So Alex, here, now has a 5'9'' nose kick version.

Alex's board came from this piece of wood.  I re-sawed it into the boards on the right side.  The other boards are for paipos, handplanes and alaias.

Handplane Bodysurfing

Michael Disculpio sent me these pictures, via go pro, from the chilli waters of northern California. He is using one of the Surfcraft Coop. planes I make. Michael makes the adjustable straps used on the planes. These shots show how the board planes; and lifts the body up out of the water.

Bluegill Action

Skateboard power slides,
Switchfoot adventures,
Looking good,
and Parallel stance speed squats can all be done on a very average day of surf when riding a Bluegill. This board is a 7'9'' version. I would like to thank Ryo Matsuyama for taking and sending these pictures. He and his brother Kei were here recently and we had this fun day of surf.

6'6" single or two plus one

This one is for Ryan, Of Third Coast Surf Shop, in Michigan. He surfs the lakes and travels a fair bit. The board is not too big or too small for most conditions or wave height.
