Ritu's fish

Here is the finished board from the airbrush post. 5'9'' 21'' 2 5/8'' Ritu usually rides short single fins. He wanted a board that could get more speed in smaller mushy surf. after seeing the airbrush post he purchased a matching jump suit. Note, matching Om sign and pinline.

Sam's the Man

We are lucky to have Sam Cody doing the airbrushing. He has been spraying boards a long time, and puts a lot of care into the art work. Get a board, get a spray, and you won't be disappointed.

Gabeminizilla 6'2"

This is the second edition of a 24'' wide shortboard for Gabe. (see 12/5/10 for the post of the first board) http://wegenersfinlessfrontier.blogspot.com/2010/12/gabes-new-shortboard.html We pulled the nose and tail in a pinch. Also honed down the rails a little. Gabe is not petite, but wants to shred on something other than a keel fish, so we kept the width, put a middle fin in, and shortboard rails.

Sandbar Session

This is a video of some friends and I surfing a sandbar in 2009. This was a small day in February. The constant larger surf had carved out good banks up and down the beach. Hopefully they will come around this spring. The wood longboard is a 9'8'' hollow airplane wing type construction and weighs 32 pounds. A little heavy on land but in the water is easy to move around. Wood boards have great momentum. In small tubes where the lip breaks on your back, the board pushes right through out onto the shoulder with little interruption. The guys are riding single fin longboards 9'0 and 9'6.'' Jason Buck, orange board, is riding a 9'0" 2 plus one and JoJo is riding a 6'2'' Wegg

Surfer Vote

I met Joe Hodnicki when I was in Maine in September. Their I was introduced to his art work. A lot of it is surf related and really good. Joe is also a super cool as well as a alaia and handplane enthusiast.

At the moment he is in the top 16 for designing this years Xgames medals. It would be great if he got the surf community vote. Please see the above link and vote for Joe.

For more info and artwork see his blog at http://www.sharingthestoke.com/

The Hulkster, Blue Man Crew, Wall Street representatives, and even nerds all had a good time this Halloween at the Wegener's house. Thanks to Sean Criss, Matt Calvani, and all who came and did it up. Super huge assist goes to Manny Caro for spinning records and keeping the dance floor full all night.
