New Model 5'10''

Gang, a new model that I am really excited about. Here in San Diego a lot of people ride Mini Simmons type boards, and ride them well. Much respect to Richard Kenvin and Hydrodynamica. I wanted to make a short, wide board, but wanted single fin control. The new model has the same speed bottom contour that I have been putting in my longboards. the template is the front half I use for a board popular with my Japanese customers called "The Mini Long." The back half stays wide as far back as possible until it gets to the fin. I don't want it to spin out so I pull it in. I rode it for the first time today, and I am very happy with it. Loose, fast, does off the lips, and can even scoot up to the front of the board.

  1. Oh, man, that board looks unreal! The buttery smooth way that my single fin longboard turns has me thinking that I would really like to try a single fin shortboard. This looks like a really viable single fin shortboard concept!

  2. I forgot to ask, you what kind of conditions did you ride it in?
