Great Waves on the Great Lakes

Ryan Gerard, proprietor of Third Coast Surf Shop, sent me pictures from the swell that hit Lake Michigan a couple of weeks ago. The wave buoy in the middle of the lake read 23'. Pretty big especially for a lake. This spot is in front of casino in Indiana, and is in a protected bay, which kept the winds under control. Ryan is riding a 6'2'' Bluegill. One of the recycled foam, bio resin types.
